Scott Henderson has over 20 years of senior operating and consulting experience in sales, business development, strategic positioning and executive counsel in a broad range of industries including Financial Services, e-commerce, human capital and service industries. Scott's background includes working with start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. His accomplishments reflect skill in building teams and partnerships plus an intense personal drive to achieve targeted business goals. As Managing Director of The Mackenzie Group (TMG) which he founded in 1999, Scott provides advisory and consulting services to financial services,
Prior to founding TMG, Scott has held senior operating positions including, VP of Corporate Development & Strategy at Demandline.com (B2B provider of small business services). As a member of the founding team, he was responsible for building partnerships with over 25 brand name companies including AT&T, T. Rowe Price, ADP, Fidelity, Mellon and Sprint. Previously he was VP of Strategic Initiatives with E*TRADE, responsible for leading a team of 18 professionals providing evaluation and implementation of strategic opportunities, including the due diligence of on-line brokers, ECNs, etc. providing project oversight and management of major initiatives including E*TRADE International country implementations, integration of acquisitions, and project management expertise for the development of E*TRADE’s website. Prior to E*TRADE, Scott was Director of Planning, Development and Technology (CIO) with J.C. Bradford & Co. ($600 million securities firm), responsible for the managing of 60 employees and leading the planning efforts that provided the framework for the significant growth of the firm’s Retail and Capital Markets Groups, including the technology to facilitate that growth. He also provided executive counsel and advisory services to the senior partnership team. For over 10 years Scott held senior consulting positions including with Harbridge House, Inc. a division of PwC (Managing Director) and CSC Index responsible for business development and consulting activities, providing strategy, organizational change and executive development expertise for Fortune 500 companies. These clients included Wells Fargo, Sun America, Capital Group Co’s, Gaylord Entertainment, Schlumberger, Boston and Pacific Exchanges among others. For example for a major money center bank, he led the effort in evaluation and selection of a new brokerage platform and clearing capabilities for its private banking/brokerage unit. Scott began his career with Merrill Lynch in New York. He currently holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). He has guest lectured at Cornell University’s MBA/Hotel School, Strategy and Marketing Programs, and in 1995 was named the Baldridge Examiner of the Year for the state of Tennessee’s Quality Achievement Program. He received his MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS from Cornell University. Scott resides in Mill Valley, California with his wife and three children.
