Scott’s operations and consulting work has covered a range of industries including Internet Startups, B2B (SMB), e-Commerce, Entertainment, Financial Services (brokerage and asset management), Hospitality, and Professional Services.

He has worked extensively with startups to help them build sales distribution, supplier, licensing, and strategic partnerships with Fortune 500, e-Commerce and technology companies. As a hands-on influential leader, Scott has a passion for building teams, leading high growth initiatives, and transforming organizations. From Scott's early work in the hospitality industry and TQM initiatives, he continues to have a constant focus on the customer to deliver quality services and products.

Scott Henderson founded The Mackenzie Group in 1999 and during that time he has held various senior operating roles including, VP  Sales & Business Development at Vector Entertainment (on-line gaming), VP Sales & Business Development (BzDeals, B2B group buying for SMBs), VP Market and Business Development for RapidBuyr (acquired Bzdeals) and Managing Director and founder of Redfish Ventures.

Prior to founding TMG, Scott was VP of Corporate Development & Strategy at Demandline.com (B2B provider of small business services). As a member of the founding team, he was responsible for building partnerships with over 25 brand name companies including AT&T, T. Rowe Price, ADP, Fidelity, Mellon and Sprint.

Previously he was VP of Strategic Initiatives at E*TRADE, responsible for leading a team of 18 professionals providing evaluation and implementation of strategic opportunities, including due diligence of on-line brokers and ECNs, providing project oversight, and management of major initiatives such as E*Trade International, acquisition integrations, and project management expertise.

Prior to E*TRADE, Scott was Director of Planning, Development and Technology (CIO) with J.C. Bradford & Co. ($600 million securities firm which was sold to Paine Webber), responsible for the management of 60 employees and leading the planning efforts that provided the framework for the significant growth of the firms Retail and Capital Markets Groups including  the technology to facilitate that growth. He also provided executive counsel and advisory services the senior partnership team.

For over 10 years Scott held senior consulting positions including Harbridge House, Inc. a division of PwC (Managing Director) and CSC Index, responsible for business development and consulting activities, providing strategy, organizational change and executive development expertise for Fortune 500 companies. These clients included Wells Fargo, Sun America, Capital Group Co’s, Sheraton Hotels, Gaylord Entertainment, Schlumberger, H.J Heinz among others.

Scott began his career with Merrill Lynch in New York and is a Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC). He has guest lectured at Cornell University’s MB/Hotel School Strategy and Marketing programs and was named the Baldridge Examiner of the Year of the State of Tennessee’s Quality Achievement Program in the mid 90’s.

He received his MBA from the University of Michigan and a BS from the Cornell University. Scott resides in Mill Valley, CA and you can find him frequently on the local trails running or mountain biking.
